BACKGROUND
FULBECK LIMITED was formed by Robin Tallentire and Doug
Urquhart at the end of 2006, following the disposal of their
oilfield chemicals business of TECHWAX Limited
(established 1991) to INTERNATIONAL SPECIALTY PRODUCTS
of New Jersey. (Part of Ashland inc.)
FULBECK continues with the contract manufacturing and
anti-corrosives activities which previously formed part of the
TECHWAX business and acquired the HYPAX range of
anticorrosive waxes from OXY-WAX LIMITED in May
2009.
DIRECTORS
ROBIN TALLENTIRE worked as a chemist for Glaxo, Dinol
and Sandoz and has extensive marketing and commercial
experience. Robin Tallentire was instrumental in opening
overseas markets for Techwax and in growing the company from
sales of £0.75 million at inception in 1991, to over £7.5 million
by 2006. Robin was able to ensure the company maintained a sound
financial base on which to achieve this expansion.
Since the formation of Fulbeck at the end 2006, with a
turnover of less than £1 million in the first year,
annual sales are in line to exceed £3 million for 2011.
DOUG URQUHART worked as a chemist for Chemoxy and
Croda before working with Robin Tallentire at Dinol and
Sandoz. Doug Urquhart is a Fellow of the Royal Society
of Chemistry and a Chartered Quality Professional, with experience
in operating and designing chemical plant and process operations in
the UK and abroad. Doug's ability to understand technical problems
and offer workable and affordable solutions was key to the growth
of Techwax.
The formation of Fulbeck in 2006 and the subsequent
acquisition of Hypaxderivatives from OXYWAX Limited
in 2009 has created the opportunity to focus on improving contract
manufacturing services and on a program of quality improvements to
the Hypax range.
